Screenplay & Directing

Daniel Clements

Director, Screenwriter, Producer

Daniel Clements is a multi-award-winning director whose films have screened worldwide, with many an Official Selection and in competition at top-tier Academy Awards® Qualifying festivals. One of his earliest shorts, Patient — made while still earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film — was translated into multiple languages, screened at over 28 global festivals, won more than two dozen international awards, and marked his first distribution deal — setting a trend his subsequent films would only elevate (e.g., Laughing Out Loud, Edit > Undo, Hard Luck, and more). Though his body of work spans many genres, a signature style consistently reemerges: darkly comic, emotionally charged, twisted, suspenseful, and laced with kinetic energy — often provoking visceral reactions, and occasionally erupting in unforgettable bursts of traumatizing body horror when least expected.
